With regards to the intermittent operations of the pelican crossing outside the Severn Centre, following a series of complaints by ourselves, this statement has been received: "I am responding on behalf of Shropshire Council's Traffic Signals team. We are aware of a recurring fault at this site which is causing an all out regularly however, we have had our contractor’s engineers attend site to investigate the fault on several occasions and there appears to be no issues with the traffic signals kit. We are now currently investigating whether this is a mains fault and we are in contact with NGED … Typically, when the fault is reported to us, our contractor’s aim to attend site the same day to ensure the site is turned on as soon as possible."
