Highley Parish Council response:
The arboriculture report is dated 28/2/23. Is there a more up-to-date report? The report itself does not state the current condition and health of the trees T1 and T2 nor give examples of how far the root area of the trees extends ie potential to affect neighbouring properties.
The rear extension appears to have been constructed under PD. Can it be confirmed if the owners at the time of construction of the extension sought professional advice?
Have alternatives to removal such as root protection and/or crown reduction been explored as these trees have high amenity and biodiversity value. While offering privacy and screening to adjacent neighbouring properties.
The report highlights that replacement trees should be considered and if the LPA was minded to grant approval for the removal, Highley Parish Council would kindly request that a condition be added to ensure their replacement with a suitable species and size.
